This experience will be something few travelers ever do ... personally the visions that I have had in the red granite box in the King's Chamber ... have been the most profound and prophetic of my life. Yoga & meditation in the morning (optional) in the hotel and after a big buffet breakfast—

Meet your guide after breakfast to be among the first in line at the Egyptian Museum. As the doors open, run, don't walk, up to the Tutankhamun Galleries. While other guides spend ten minutes on the ground floor with orientation lectures, you can steal some time alone with Tut's resplendent gold death mask. There are two other must-sees. The Royal Mummy Room (No. 56) has the remains of 11 pharaohs and queens from the seventh to the twenty-first dynasties, including the formidable Ramses II; there is something vertiginous about inspecting the corpse of one of the ancient world's most powerful rulers close up (note the elegantly elongated fingernails and aquiline nose).

The afternoon is open to shop or volunteer at a local orphanage

We will ride horse & camels and have a candle light dinner under a bedouin  tent with Sufi dancers and traditional Middle Eastern food. Yippie.
