The Lunar New Year
January’s First New Moon
The Lunar New Year occurs in late January each year
The first New Moon of each year happens one month after the Winter Solstice in December. The Winter Solstice lasts three days, usually from December 21 or 22 to December 24 or 25.
The first New Moon of the year marks the beginning of the Lunar Calendar. It’s a time of death and rebirth, when we bless and thank the previous Lunar Year for all the gifts and lessons we received, and plant our intentions for the fresh and new Lunar Year ahead.
This first New Moon of the year is a wonderful time to create a vision board or begin a creative project to focus your powerful creative energy and harness your consciousness into manifesting in this physical dimension. When people use their creative energy it enhances their electromagnetic field, or aura.
When a client comes in to see me who expresses their creative selves on a regular basis, the field around their body is huge, dynamic and beautiful. Often times, just spending five or 10 minutes a day engaging in some creative expression makes a huge difference.
Everyone has something important to express, it doesn't matter if you’re creating a best seller or doodling on a napkin. Truly what's important is how it expresses your creativity and changes who you are.
SI invite you at this powerful time of the Lunar New Year, of death/rebirth/birth, to contemplate what you would like to manifest in your life in this coming year. Gather your art supplies and find a quiet place and focus.
