Losing someone dear to us can be one the most painful experiences that we encounter on this planet. It is comforting to contemplate the idea that “we don’t die,” and from many years of work in this field, I have come to understand that it’s true—we really don’t die, we simply change form, transform. It is easy to see why the butterfly, found in the literature and art of many cultures, is a universal symbol of death, rebirth & transformation.
The earthbound caterpillar prepares for “death” by creating a chrysalis … all vestiges of the caterpillar melt into liquid and then a butterfly forms. We are like that caterpillar. When a person’s soul emerges into the spirit world after the death, it is like the butterfly emerging from her chrysalis.
Ancestors reaching back to dusty prehistory, Indigenous people and some modern-day cultures honor those departed as still living, reachable and an integral part of daily life. In my sessions, souls often communicate loving messages & helpful guidance to my clients. Souls seem to really appreciate all the prayers and loving thoughts, it is all truly helpful for them in the Afterlife. A major issue that souls return to communicate is “unfinished business” … many souls apologize for past injustices.
Everyone has access to communicate with our loved ones & animals after their physical death—it is our birthright. The doorway between the worlds requires a key to open it. Because the spirits’ subtle vibration or resonance is finer and higher than here on the Earth plane, it is easier to meet your “people in spirit” half way on the bridge to Heaven.
